Carrying the boss's water
Sen. Smilin' Norm Coleman (R-MN) has got himself a promotion! Josh Marshall reports that Smilin' Norm is now one of the administration's point men on Rove.Smilin' Norm's opportunism is only matched by the brightness of his perfect smile. This a man with no political core at all. A man who lies about the estate tax. A man who is in the middle of reversing his position on stem cell research. A man who took money from both sides of the CAFTA debate. Coleman's the kind of politician who would take up smoking to get free matches. Bush is Coleman's gravy train, and he's gonna ride the rails like a hobo with a past.
