That would be gear!
Regular 3WN reader D has just sent me an email (he does that as lot) about the latest Apple rumor:
Rumor: Widescreen Touch iPod, Beatles Edition, To be Announced at Super Bowl?
A widescreen iPod would be pretty cool, I guess, but I am never all that excited about "special edition" products. What would make this significant tho is that it would mean Apple (Computer) has finally reached an agreement with Apple Corp. (the Beatles) to make the Beatles catalog available on iTunes, which would be fairly big news since they have been the most high profile holdout when it comes to digital distribution of music. It might also be a pretty big coup for iTunes if the world's most important band is only available (legally) in the iTunes format.
