To F
Big Sister Hammer has been devoting a substantial portion of her artistic experimentation "To F". At first, of course, I hoped it was an homage to the Russian tradition of writing anonymously addressed poetry. Ms. Hammer informs me that is not the case.Rather, BSH is addressing her art "To Family". I was overcome by the sweetness of the gesture. I took comfort in the confidence that my child was not a sociopath. The New York Times seemed to personally encourage me to blog it. I was happy to accommodate the Grey Lady, at least this once.
Until.
Until this morning, when I wondered whether one day some dismembered corpse would be found on the banks of the Minnesota river with "To F" carved with the edge of a compass into the torso.
No more CSI for the Hammer. Miles to go before a parent sleeps.
