Least popular president in 50 years

Bush has been such a spectacular failure as president, that it should come as no surprise that he is now setting records for being the least popular second-term president since World War 2:
NEW YORK President George W. Bush's approval rating has plunged to the lowest level of any president since World War II at this point in his second term, the Gallup Organization reported today.
"All other presidents who were re-elected to a second term had approval ratings well above 50% in the March following their re-election," Gallup reported. Bush's current rating is 45%. The next lowest was Reagan with 56% in March 1985.
Atrios notes that reality has yet to intrude on Howard Fineman's
prose: "There’s a certain logic to the enterprise: don’t take on the Texas president, who remains popular, especially as commander-in-chief."
E&P doesn't break down the approval, but it's pretty safe to assume that Bush's rating as war preznit is still above 50%. I don't know if that makes him "popular", but I doubt it qualifies him to be called especially popular.
