Classic Coleman

Posted by: Hammer / 4:03 PM

It doesn't get any more classic than this:
Republican Sen. Norm Coleman, who has said that he's open to the idea of personal retirement accounts, said Friday, "I don't support cutting anyone's benefits," as Bush proposed.

He said the idea of linking benefits for higher-wage earners to the growth rate of prices rather than wages "merits further discussion."

Smilin' Norm Coleman: he opposes cutting anyone's benefits, but supports a reduction in promised benefits. A reduction in promised benefits is a cut no matter how you slice it.

Hard to believe that the same guy who helped Bush pimp the phony claim that John Kerry voted for higher taxes 350 times would stoop so low.
