Spot does a great job of exposing the depth of Happy Kate's reporting. Not to be missed.
Jim Lodoen was not my source. Sorry, no scandal
No one said scandal except you. This is hackery at its finest. You say here that Lodoen was not your source, but on your blog you say you posted his emails. The emails are strikingly similar to the quotes KK uses in her column. It's hacky that all her quotes sound remarkably similar to the quotes from the emails. Most people don't talk the way they email. Also, she rarely strays outside the topics in the emails. You'd think a professional reporter would advance the story or tease something out. Instead, it's trackback spam in the Strib.
Spotty also never said that this was a case of plagiarism as Peter claims on his site.

, atWhat an interesting way to argue a point -- claim that something is NOT which no has ever said it was.
Indeed. I think I will condemn Spotty for marsupial molestation.
(insert "paws in pocket" joke here)

, atA comment to the post claimed that it was "plagerized." (sic)
Most American Experiment events have a Q&A segment at the end. President Emeritus Mitch Pearlstein walks around with a wireless microphone and allows audience members to ask questions of the speaker. They are mostly friendly questions, but there are sometimes non-conservative panelists and audience members.
That Jim Lodoen was once an audience member at an American Experiment event is hardly a conflict of interest in a story about kindness to hurricane victims.
Funny how you are still linking to and adding to a blog post that Spot already retracted.
where's the retraction?

, atSpotty did say "Well . . . never mind." in comments on her post. Maybe that was misunderstood. I don't understand the "retraction" part at all.
