I have a hard time posting new material on the weekends, so I'm gonna try highlighting the great stuff my favorite Minnesota bloggers are posting instead. This week, the best story followed elsewhere is the Dan "Ox" Oschner campaign for state senate. First link to MRW which was first on the scene. Also, be sure to check out the Clever Peasant who has pictures. Finally, MN Publius dog piles on that rabbit to great effect.
A picture is worth a thousand words. In Oschner's case, 995 of those words are "big". The other five are "Dan", "Oschner", "is", "a", and "fraud".
Elsewhere, Smartie follows up on a story from the 2002 election. Guess what? Three years later and a prominent national Republican leader has been convicted of crimes against democracy. That reminds us -- whatever happened to those fraud suits brought against ACORN? Guess what? All three suits have been dismissed:
Today, ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) announced that the last of three politically-motivated lawsuits filed against the group in the wake of its successful 2004 voter outreach drive has been "dismissed with prejudice." Each of the three cases (two in Florida and one in Ohio) were brought by partisan law firms based on unfounded allegations of "voter fraud" against the organization -- and all three cases have been dismissed.
