Howard Dean is catching some flack for a comment a few days ago that the war in Iraq might be unwinnable.
As always, Dean's detractors abound. Civil Commotion's Bob Felton, a conservative freelance writer/editor, emphasizes the similarities between Pearl Harbor and Sept. 11 ... and declares, "The difference, then, is that America was willing to unsentimentally get about the business of killing the SOB's; today, we have nasty trolls like Howard Dean summarily declaring defeat."This would be a very apt analogy if after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor we had invaded China.

Yeah, but we did attack Germany.
I'm just yanking your chain -- I know Hitler declared war on the U.S. a few days after Pearl Harbor.
