Gone phishin

It's safe to look at this site, but I strongly suspect that it is a phishing site trying to fool people into delivering account numbers. Why is this site still active? Why isn't there a way to flag these abusive practices?

Sure, I sent an email to Chase's "report abuse" address, but I doubt I'm the first to check out the web site. There's the Phish Report Network, but that appears to be designed exclusively for e-commerce companies to use.

What users need is a dynamic, community-defined extension to flag phish sites. Then, if you visit a site that other users deem suspect, you would get a visual warning. There's this extension from Netcraft, which I'm going to try now. At least it seems to have a feature that lets you report phishing sites.


I'm happy to say, I'm pleased to report that the Netcraft security toolbar (available for both IE and Firefox) blocked the phishing site listed above:
