Conservative blog Kennedy vs The Machine has a post up making a count of the "frothing outrage-soaked posts" of liberal blogs about the new Mark Kennedy commercial. 3WN gets the honor(?) of making the list for Hammer's post below. To save you the work of scrolling down, the complete text of it is "If you haven't seen it yet, Makeover Mark Kennedy has a new commercial available for download. Here's the key message: Kennedy is not a "party guy". He's independent. Well, he's at least 5% independent." That's followed by a Strib quote showing he votes with the Bush White House more than 95% of the time.
Maybe I'm slow but I guess I'm missing both the outrage and the frothing in there. But then again it's not clear to me just what machine Kennedy is fighting either. Maybe it's an electric mixer that can be set on "froth"? More likely his battle is going to be with the vote tabulating machines come November. And the smart money is not on Kennedy in that fight.
Update, 7-31-06
Hammer's rhetoric has been downgraded to "raving". My mistake, the machine really is an electric mixer. Everyone knows "rave" comes right between "mix" and "fold". And in four months' time the KvsM gang will no doubt be reduced to hand stirring, if you know what I mean.
That's a "super-banal raving", to you, Mister.
KvM also turns 7 postings into "dozens". It's magic.
