Pharyngula has a take on Steve Irwin's recent death:
The life and death of Steve Irwin reminds us of mortality and enthusiasm and danger and passion. The life of Ken Ham reminds us of how low and despicable and worthless our lives can be if we let religion leech our minds away.
Was there ever a man more enthusiastic than Steve Irwin? It's not in my make-up to be that happy -- ever -- but still, imagine a world where everyone was excited about their lives as Steve Irwin was about his.
