One of these things is not like the others

Posted by: Hammer / 7:00 AM

Alando Tucker is a great college basketball player. Here's an apt summary with a tangent at the end.

If UW forward Alando Tucker is the most or one of the most underrated stars in college basketball, he has to be less so today. He scored inside and out. Spinning past defenders outside, corkscrewing around them inside. He passed. He defended. He brought the ball full court against pressure at the end. He said all the right things to the press in his post-game comments.

Who cares about the post-game press conference? Oh, that's right. The press. Doesn't make him a good basketball player, but I guess it does contribute to whether he's a star.

1 Comments:

To be fair to the author of the article, the point was not whether he was good or not, it was whether he was underrated. How he performs at a press conference would contribute to how he is perceived as a player - how he is rated.
