Call Esera Tuaolo

Posted by: Hammer / 12:41 PM

Tony Dungy appears to be supporting an Indiana pro-family/anti-gay group. The Indiana Family Institute's position on homosexuality is expressed (at least in part) here:

Christians, countrymen, do I have your ears? The war is not lost, but we need more warriors for the fight if we are to prevail. The next large fight will be in the 2006 elections and then over gay marriage in 2007 and 2008. In the meantime, please do me a favor. Equip yourselves. Read, "The Homosexual Agenda: Exposing the Principal Threat to Religious Freedom Today," by Alan Sears and Craig Osten. It explains in far greater detail than I can the gay agenda nationwide. For a scientific look at homosexuality please read, "Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth," by Jeffrey Satinover, M.D; it will help answer some of the difficult scientific questions surrounding homosexuality."

Dungy was the Vikings' defensive coordinator from 1992-1995. Esera Tuaolo, one of the few openly gay NFL players played for the Vikings between 1992-1996. What does Dungy think of Tuaolo? What does Tuaolo think of Dungy?
