I don't have much to add, except that apparently this is one seriously gay Atlanta pastor:
Last week, a discipline hearing committee within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America ruled that an Atlanta pastor, who is an avowed practicing homosexual, be removed from the church's clergy roster in August -- but that the policy bringing about that decision be overturned prior to that. The president of the Institute on Religion and Democracy is encouraging leaders of the ELCA to return to God's Word regarding homosexuality.
Is there anything more homosexual than avowed, practiced homosexuality? Or is this the pinnacle?
Labels: gay rights, religion
As a slacking ELCA member, it is always amusing when outside conservative groups (of which I am assuming that this IRD is) tries to tell the church what to do whenever it makes a step in the left direction. All this ever does is work as reverse psychology.

I think "flaming" has to be in the description somewhere.
