CBS has produced its long-awaited report on the TANG/Killian documents fiasco it started in September last year, when its news program 60 Minutes Wednesday published four memos purporting to document preferential treatment for George Bush. The hammer fell on four CBS employees as well -- three executives and producer Mary Mapes[.]
wept when there were no more worlds to conquer. The right wing blogosphere had to wait four long months for their victory lap. How could they bear the wait? Sure, we're still waiting for the administration to release its social security plan, its tax reform plan, Alberto Gonzales's other torture memos, the President's actual service records, records of any bribes paid to other commentators to support NCLB...but the CBS stuff is too important to wait a full four months.
