Freedom on the march. Or at least the stagger.

Posted by: Jambo / 2:26 PM

I heard on the NPR today that President Bush was cheered by a crowd of over 10,000 in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia. A citizen interviewed there said that it was in appreciation for long American efforts opposing the Soviet Union that eventually allowed the republic to become a free nation. Now those people do realize that W was drunk for the entire duration of the Cold War, don’t they?

Technically, he spent a lot of that time high, not drunk.

It slays me how anyone, especially Republicans, can claim Reagan, et. al, were responsible for the fall of the Berlin Wall.

The fall of the Berlin Wall was a mistake, not some grand policy iniated by the GOP.

A lot of politics is creating plausible myths to explain the good things that happen under your watch.
