Cool. A big thanks to Hammer (no relation to “The Hammer” of TX) for inviting me to be a guest on his fine blog. I really appreciate it, but now the pressure is on to sound smart. Or at least to not screw up the site with some misformatted post. So here goes the first guest post. (Comments, a troll, and now a guest blogger. I think TWN is an official, real world, big time blog now. All that really remains is the bringing down of some hapless politician or newsman and then Time magazine blog of the year here we come!)
From Economist.com:
There, that’s it. No deep insight. No political analysis. But I do think that is kind of interesting, don’t you? And you’ve got to love this new journalism. A guest on a blog quoting the online version of a print publication quoting another print publication. How ever did the American public learn anything before blogs came along? And don’t worry, I promise a little more substance once I get going. Heck, Hammer won’t be able to shut me up and I’m sure I’ll offend Sunshine and inspire a long email take-down by Ma Bell. Ah, just like the old days.
Not only is it a guest on a blog quoting the online version of a print publication quoting another print publication, it's a guest on a blog quoting a prediction in the online version of a print publication quoting another print publication.
So it's not even fact, it's speculation. But interesting speculation. I'm waiting for those Internet ad dollars to start flowing into my empty pockets. Hammer needs a new patio!
