The Minnesota GOP confuses me
Yep, I'm confused. Dump Michele Bachmann has a note that Bachmann has been removed from her leadership position in the Minnesota Senate. (MRW has the same note -- also, Happy Birthday!) Bachmann says her removal was related to her anti-tax stands.
But it was only last month that the Minnesota Republicans ousted Ron Eibensteiner as chairman in favor of Ron Carey, purportedly because Pawlenty wasn't anti-tax enough.
It almost makes you wonder whether the Minnesota GOP doesn't know which way it wants to head, or whether someone's not being forthright about why Bachmann's secret decoder ring has been taken away.

Frankly,
I think that this shows that conservatism is ebbing in MN. The conservative agenda is starting to lose its appeal. Time for the DFL to reclaim the vital center.

At the very least, it's another crack in the far-right/middle-right alliance. Let's hope it turns into a fissure.
