Looks like I'll be extending my record of non-attendance at Drinking Liberally tonight. Little Sister Hammer gave me a cold, so I'll be taking it easy. Still, on the subject of beer, MG at Norwegianity recommends Bell's Two Hearted Ale and links to the story of Miller pulling its fruit-flavored malt beverage. Hammer doesn't recommend many Miller products, except in a pinch, but I will recommend Pyramid's Apricot Weizen, which is very refreshing and perfect for hot, humid days.
Grain Belt, PBR, Shiner, Old Milwaukee. The end.

, atAnd hello, Pabst "Blue Ribbon"? You think they just made up a name like that?
Is Strohs made by Miller? I am pretty sure it is. Strohs ranked high in the Consumer Reports tests a year or so back. It's not bad. Give it a try.

Strohs is not all that bad. I'm pretty sure it is a PBR brand.
the thing that pbr has going for it is that it is the best hot-day beer in the world. Nothing tastes better than an ice cold pbr in the hot Texas sun. Wait...kind of hot Minnesota sun.

It's a rainy day I'll pick up some 2 hearted ale on the way to Gambly's for cards. If the Brothers Hammer don't approve, there will be (a) consequences and (b) repercussions of a most serious nature.
Anything brewed by Bells is nectar of the gods. Strohs, Miller, PBR, etc. are really good for rinsing out your beer glasses and watering plants.

, atDon't forget killing slugs. I think Old Style was originally brewed as a slug-o-cide.
that 2 hearted ale was pretty good...too bad my liquor store don't carry it. All we got is Ammo 40s, PBR, Grain Belt and other various malt liquors.
