According to the latest CBS poll, 26% of Americans think the country is going in the right direction, but 37% approve of the president. That means 11% of Americans like Bush, but think the country is headed in the wrong direction. With Republican control of everything except my secret stash of home brew and the cuteness of Little Sister Hammer in pigtails, what do those 11% really believe?
Seems to me they believe that even with their guys in charge, the country is still heading in the wrong direction. The country, to them, is headed unalterably down the wrong path. Eleven percent of American belong to the dead-enders club, where everything is going to hell in a hand basket, no matter what.
Pessimists armed with unreality. And they vote.
