New England Patriots

Posted by: Hammer / 2:57 PM

Know that credit card commercial where the Patriot offensive linemen argue over who says what line? If that's not scripted, then neither was Bush's conference call to Tikrit. Why does it matter? Aside from the fact that it's earnestly deceptive, there's this:

QUESTION: How were they selected, and are their comments to the president pre-screened, any questions or anything...
MCCLELLAN: No.
QUESTION: Not at all?
MCCLELLAN: This is a back-and-forth.

Keith Olbermann ran without commentary most of the Bush exchange with the troops. It was hilarious. Then he followed with a clip of the press corps raking Scottie over the coals. And finally, footage of the DoD shill prepping the troops before Dubya came on. The shill even used the word "script". Olbermann is god!
