Self-publishing: cool and cooler
Okay, this is pretty cool. A guy used Lulu.com to publish a book that amounted to a marriage proposal. I say pretty cool, because the Hammer family used Lulu to do something way cooler for Christmas, 2005. We took several dozen pieces of Big Sister Hammer's best artwork, scanned them (used the Gimp to correct the color balance), added some descriptive text, then published it as a book for the grandparents.
I'm very proud of the result. It's a lot of work and you have to leave yourself quite a bit of time at the end for printing and shipping. So get started now.
