Someone else leaving Washington
The most exciting thing I've ever read in one of John Tierney's columns:
In the vast scheme of things Tierney is far from the worst writer out there (I can stomach a dozen stuffy libertarians rather than a single religious right nutjob) but he is certainly the worst the NYT Opinion page has offered up lately. I still can't believe Maureen Dowd slept with him.Whatever they do the next two years, I won’t be here to kick them around. This is my last column on the Op-Ed page.

Look at it this way Jambo, now that you know how low Maureen's standards are, it shows how much better your chances would be.
Um, Mrs. Jambo doesn't read your blog, does she?

The Mrs. only tends to read it when I'm particularly proud of something I've written, print it off, and slip it under her coffee cup in the morning. Even then her response is usually along the lines of "you know, you don't really help your argument by being so insulting."
