You can go on CNN and call Bill Clinton a murder and a rapist, but apparently you can't mention that President Bush has a history of substance abuse:
Last night, Mr Bush - a teetotaller - was seen sipping beer, but his advisers insisted it was non-alcoholic.
I know that the BBC has higher standards than 24 hour cable news, but there's a difference between scandal-mongering and truth-telling.
The bigger issue is drinking non-alcoholic beer. There's no real excuse for that. I've never tasted a non-alcoholic beer worth drinking.
Labels: Bush's beer
It doesn't make much sense drinking that stuff - it tastes even more hideous than mass-market American beer and that's a standard that is difficult to surpass. Of course, maybe back in his drinking days he did favor the corporate piss-water - he's not exactly the craft brewery kinda guy. So if he gets a hankering for piss-colored water with adjuncts instead of malts he's got nowhere else to go.
In better news, the State Fair has lifted it's prohibition on any beer stronger than 3.2. Most of the swill they serve out there rarely gets above 4.5 anyway but full-strength Summit would definitely make the Fair just a little bit brighter.
