Brett Favre is back with the Packers for at least one more year. Favre's no dummy. The Packers are going nowhere in 2005-6, so I suspect he's planning to play a couple more years. Every team in the NFL is one good draft away from being a Super Bowl contender. Unfortunately for the Packers, they have been waiting for one of those drafts since 2001.
The Packers released Darren Sharper, who immediately set up a meeting with the Vikings. 3WN always liked Sharper for his play-making ability and his vocal support for John Kerry. On the other hand, he danced too much on the field and looks to be on the decline.
We wish Sharper well, and advise that he watch his wallet if he joins the Vikings. Mike Tice has allegedly supplementing his $750,000 salary ($1,000,000 this year) by scalping Super Bowl tickets. Even worse, he (allegedly) forces players to sell their tickets through him to maximize his personal profit. Ba Ha Ha is already wondering whether Randy Moss turned Mike Tice in on his way out. We can only hope.
