Closer to the Stars
Karl Mueller, bassist for Soul Asylum, died Friday at the age of 41. Karl was renowned for his harmonies on Put the Bone in, always wearing shorts on stage, and his monster rock poses during Made to be Broken.I took a shot yesterday at Soul Asylum front man Dave Pirner, for being a rock star cliche. From everything I've ever seen or read about Mueller, he was anything but cliche. He was a kind, humble, talented man who will long be missed.
After a long battle with throat cancer, Karl Mueller is now Closer to the Stars. Yeah.
