Wow...just, wow

Posted by: Hammer / 12:45 PM

The Badgers are getting crushed at home by the North Dakota State Bison. With 7:00 to go, the Badgers are down 46-30. Alando Tucker just made his first basket in 12 attempts. Kammron Taylor has made 2 of 14 shots. The Badgers are shooting 18% from the field and 12% from beyond the arc. The game isn't televised (thankfully) so I've no explanation, other than the 3WN curse. A short while back, I said Alando Tucker could be the best player in the country, if he were 3 inches taller. Apparently, that's all it takes to drive a good player bad.

...Badgers went on to lose by 7 (or so). UW was within 4 or 5 in the last minute, but didn't make enough plays. Tucker missed 2 free throws down the stretch. Ray Nixon fouled the shooter on two consecutive trips...after allowing the basket. Badgers had 3 three point attempts on one possession and missed them all. Just a bad, bad game. Good time to play a non-conference opponent.

I thought the triple OT home game against U of MN was Iowa's bad game this week. The Hawks proved me wrong today by getting destroyed at MSU.

You are right, it is better to lay an egg in a non-conference game, even if it is at home against a glorified Division II school.

I think Krabbenhoft convinced his teammates to throw the game. He's from somewhere out there, isn't he?
