"Now all you have to do is hold the chicken, bring me the toast, give me a check for the chicken salad sandwich, and you haven't broken any rules."

I'm not generally one to say good things about fast food restaurants but I'll make an exception today for Chipotle. I had lunch there this afternoon and read this on the side of my cup:

That's why we let your kids (and you) pick out exactly what they want to eat. And there's no need to be restricted by the menu. Kids know what they like and so do you. If you see it on the serving line, we'll put it together, any way you want it.

It's pretty simple but as a parent I really appreciate it. The thought that I can just get a bowl with black beans on one side and rice on the other (my girls like them both but you can't let them touch) and a couple tortillas makes me happy as does the thought that quick meals out don't have to be confined to places where you can get chicken nuggets.

Very first place we took my little girl, on the way home from delivery, was Chipotle. Her favorite meal is now a side of black beans, a bunch of tortilla and chips with hot (red) sauce (crazy three year old).
