How to spend $100 billion
Total money income in the United States increased by $100 billion in 2005. Hurrah!
Despite the gain, median income fell. 1978, 1986, and 2003 were the best years for men in the last 25 years. Sadly, median incomes all peaked at about the same point, just over $40,000, in each of those years.
