Kessler: Correction required
Spotty follows up on Pat Kessler's erroneous reporting. Please send a polite email to Mr. Kessler asking him to correct his reporting.
In his first follow-up, Kessler said "Critics say we shouldn't count that as Abramoff-related money, but non-partisan organizations tracking campaign finances regard contributions by Abramoff clients as money connected to Abramoff, and that's part of what Federal investigators are looking at." In fact, wherever Abramoff got involved, contributions to Democrats decreased. It seems more accurate to report that any money Indian tribes gave to Democrats was in spite of Abramoff's involvement rather than because of his involvement.
Remember -- Abramoff is dirty here. The tribes seem to be playing by the rules.
