I neglected to mention in the post below about my friend's fund raiser that music was provided by local music hero Martin Zeller. In addition to his solo material he did a few old Gear Daddies songs, including I Want to Drive the Zamboni for the kids present, and at the urging of the crowd (OK, it was just me) even did one of his patented Neil Diamond covers. Regardless of how any given elections turn out Democrats ALWAYS have better music than Republicans.
Democrats ALWAYS have better music than Republicans.
That's mostly true, but that doesn't necessarily make them hip. I'll never forget Al Gore clapping on the down beat to "Don't Stop."
Try it -- it's almost impossible. Of course, I also remember George H. W. Bush doing the same thing to "Hit the Road, Jack" which might be even harder.

Now Joey, I know you remember enough physics to explain that one. I watched the video and it is clear that it is being shot from a very very long way away. Since light travels much faster than sound what we are seeing is the delay between when the two arrive at the camera. Gore is standing right there in front of the stage so he hears the music a beat before we do and claps, which we see. However when we see it the sound has not yet reached us and by the time it doest it appears that Gore is off. That was not the first time Gore seemed to be too far ahead of the voters. I hope this has cleared things up for you.
