Michele Bachmann: Backing down, still an idiot
The Strib has 2 articles on Michele Bachmann's recent claims of inside knowledge of an agreement to partition Iraq. The Big Question has a better follow up. Polinaut also jumps into the fray, by printing Bachmann's clarification.
What no one seems to be mentioning though, is why Shia Iran would set up an enclave for terrorists in distant parts of Iraq. Specifically, in the Sunni West and Kurd North.
The problem is not that Bachmann is talking out of her ass about a partition of Iraq, but that she betrays total ignorance of the geography and demographics of Iraq.
