F-22A Raptor

Posted by: Hammer / 10:20 AM

The Air Force has 91 active F-22A Raptors. There are over 500 active F-15s, 217 active F-15Es, 473 active F-16s. So the odds that both John McClane and Optimus Prime would encounter F-22As are pretty remote.

It's sad and puzzling to watch the military market itself to teens.

It's also interesting to note that the cost of the F-15 and F-16 are listed on their official Air Force web pages, but the cost of the F-22A is conspicuously absent. Estimates range from $120 million to over $300 million per aircraft.
