Empty Suit Thursday: Rocky terrain

The terrain is quite rocky, so the suggestion here is that Sen. Smilin' Norm Coleman (R-MN) immediately switch to Bonetti's defense. Nothing else in his desperate attempt to defend the Leaking Turd Blossom seems to be working:
There's non-Rove news this week, too:
- Can Smilin' Norm go one sentence without lying about the Roberts nomination? Nope.
- Coleman is one of only 6 Republican senators to support the Akaka bill, which would confer a type of sovereignty on Native Hawaiians. I'm utterly ignorant on the provisions of the bill, but there must be something sneaky in there to tempt Smilin' Norm to strain his leash.
- One western Minnesota newspaper deems Coleman credible and sincere, but still savages his vote on CAFTA.
- Smilin' Norm stands ready to send U.S. nuclear technology to India: "I think it's fair to say this is not a 'no nukes' Congress." I think it's fair to say that sending nuclear technology to India is going to thrill Pakistan.
