Hold on to Dick

Posted by: Jambo / 5:57 PM

I keep reading about people salivating over the prospect of Dick Cheney resigning. As Hammer said below, not bloody likely. But even if it were likely I would not be hoping for it myself. Yeah, there'd be the "couldn't happen to a nicer guy" aspect to be excited about but beyond that what real good would it do anyone? All it would really do is let Bush give a boost to whoever he might want to set up for a run in 2008. Condi maybe? Imagine all the good press W could get out of naming the first woman and first African-American VP. Who needs that? Why give any prospective candidate the bonus of running as an incumbent? Yeah, Dick's an evil bastard, but he's also a PR drain on the White House. Let's keep him where he is.

Correct Jambo. This administration is going to be quite crippled with the departure of Libby, Rove and Delay. I can only hope that the trials for these three play out in mid-2006, so the absent-minded American voter can keep them in mind when they go to the polls.

Jambo if Cheney leaves how elese will atomaticly recieve contracts with no bids. What a life, I the think the Contracts have Halaberton already on them when they are printed. Big time saver that way.
